Description
What it does
Minoxidil widens the blood vessels around the follicle and pushes resting hairs back into an active growth phase. It is one of very few hair loss treatments with strong clinical evidence behind it.
What to expect, honestly
Nothing for the first month. A temporary increase in shedding around weeks four to eight, which is the treatment working, not failing. Fine new hairs by month three or four. Real change judged at month six.
Most people quit during the shedding phase. Do not.
How to use
1ml to the scalp twice daily, on the skin rather than the hair. Let it dry fully.
Important
Speak to a doctor before starting if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have low blood pressure or a heart condition, or have a scalp condition. Stop and seek advice if you get chest pain, dizziness or swelling.
This is ongoing treatment. Gains reverse within three to six months of stopping.
